PVP Mounting System: Sloped Roof, Part 1

Nowadays, more and more households are deciding to get solar panels and install them on their roofs. It’s no wonder, as the photovoltaic system converts sunlight into electricity, which lowers costs for both electricity consumption and heating water.
Households can easily get a financially beneficial solution, minimize the use of fossil fuels, and take another step towards a sustainable future.
However, there are often questions that arise before making this decision: Is my roof suitable for installation? Will it require complex installation and expensive components? What do I actually need for it?

Types of roofs and suitable components:
When mounting on a metal roof tile, aluminum profiles are used, which are attached to the roof with combined screws. The solar panel is then fixed to these profiles using middle and edge brackets.

To put solar panels on a metal roof, you're best off using trapezoidal mounts with EPDM backing to avoid scratching the roof. These are screwed directly into the roof with TEX screws. Then, the solar panels sit on the mounts and are fastened with brackets in the center and at the edges.


The installation on roofs with concrete or ceramic tiles is done using adjustable hooks that hold the AL profile at the edges and also according to the spacing of the rafters. The solar panel is then secured to this profile using roof and edge brackets.
